Won't be able to start baking till 4 since I want to go to Amanda's documentary film showing.

Need to read the following books:
Ringside Seat to a Revolution, which I heard about on NPR this morning. More info here

Prisoners of the Japanese, which piqued my interest after reading that it's written by a former Catholic who lost his faith in the camps, along with many other religious people. The loss of one's faith interests me for obvious reasons, but the relationiship between it and war even more so. The fact that war can both reenforce and tear away one's faith is something I've been thinking about since late 1999.

Still dreary and wet here. Not inspiring.

p.s. Week by week I find more reasons to be disgusted by the power hungry. And the less that it is at stake, the more disgusting they are to me. I don't like feeling that way about any human being; I try to accept people as they are, to read it as something positive like "ambition," or "drive," but those are not really words that accurately describe people who seek status and power over others. I don't know. I need to process this more deeply; it's been bearing heavily on me ever since Opus 2005.
procrastination is going to keep me in the poorhouse!!!!!

ARRGHGGH.

And when will I ever learn to check car rental hours before going to pick up a car?!?!?!?!
