Because they implemented the dreaded Mandatory Overtime, the powers-that-be at the office brought in 95 pizzas; so I had Pizza Hut for lunch and dinner. I don't really feel good about that decision.
Soooo excited about Fall Quarter. I'm signing up for four classes:
Love and Sexuality - Dr. D will be teaching this one and I haven't had him since my beloved Nietzsche class. He is such an odd fellow. Thin, smokes and has this amusing (sometimes aggravating) mid-Atlantic accent. And despite his light hair color, bears a marked resemblance to the actor, Jeremy Sisto. I think Dr. D may be a bit of a Franco-phile - I arrived at this extraordinary conclusion when I connected his over-use of the word multiplicity with Deleuze. Though ethnically I would put him as Italian because he also reminds me of a super young John Travolta. Ick. Sisto good; Travolta bad. Anyway, we'll be examining works of Plato, Sappho, Goethe (don't you love to say Goethe?), Freud, Foucault, Irigaray and Duras. Good stuff.
African-American Autobiography - Time to learn more about my roots!
Fantastic Voyage - Something to do with looking at power, domination, and change in the context of the age of discovery (I think).
Women in Science - Pretty self-explanatory, that one!
So it's almost a full load - 12 credits. I'll still be working full-time so I've got to keep it together and not get behind. Hmm ... I'm remembering aphonik's posting right now about careening one's way through undergraduate school. Oh well. I'll try to do my best. I took five classes my first term and got an A in every class. I can do it!
I think I'll watch a little bit of Beau Travail, then go to sleep.
