First Day of Love and Sexuality
Oct. 1st, 2003 11:02 pmJust returned from the first session of my Love and Sexuality class. This is my first 400-level course, I think. And I think it will be good. Lots of reading (though we started off lite by watching The Crying Game). Dr. D looks a little different than I remember - darker hair. But still the same manner of being.
I was really surprised to see Jonah in class; I thought he'd graduated by now, but he'd taken time off from school in order to work. It's been more than a year since I saw him last and he looks good; darker and more mature. Seeing him again, I was struck by how impossibly photogenic he is. If only I were a photographer! He has such an interesting face; he bears a slight resemblance to Vincent Gallo, but looks much healthier and more innocent. It was smart thinking on my part to cast him in my Super 8 short back when I did; I'd love to use him again. Anyway, he asked if I'd be interested in going with him and some friend(s) to the Alain Delon film series at the film center; I said, of course. He said Monsieur Klein was really good. I haven't seen that one yet.
Picked up Plato's Symposium at Powell's on the way home. Must get to sleep. I have to be up early in the morning to get reading done before I meet with the mortgage broker at 10.
